About this Unit
To provide a working knowledge for students into the important unit operations in the food processing and biochemical processing fields; to make preliminary selection of equipment and process development; heat and mass balances basic theory and applications into the following unit operations: freezing, dehydration, evaporation, membrane concentration, separation by centrifugation and filtration, fermentation and other downstream processes.
