About this Unit
The theme of this practicum is consumerism. This unit aims to explore current food and nutrition issues of consumer concern, consumer rights and legislation. Students will explore the role of consumer protection organisations and the consumer/producer interface. Through a problem based learning process students will develop skills in preparing, presenting and analysing quantifiable market research from the basis of a project which addresses consumer perceptions relating to current food and nutrition issues.
