This unit replaced by 200655 Consumer Protection Law. This unit examines the consumer protection provisions of the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) and Fair Trading Act (NSW), including misleading or deceptive conduct, false or misleading representations, unconscionable conduct and the implication of terms in consumer transactions. The unit also considers the enforcement and remedy provisions in the Trade Practices Act and Fair Trading Act in relation to consumer protection.
