About this Unit
This unit is an introduction to problems and issues in international politics. It is divided into two parts. The first introduces students to the nature of international politics as a discipline within the social sciences and examines some of the major theoretical paradigms associated with attempts to explain international behaviour of key individuals, nations and the international system. The second reviews major issues and key problems in world affairs with a focus on justice and equality, migration, refugees and human rights and terrorism.
