In an environment where operating internationally is becoming the norm rather than the exception, firms are faced with ever-increasing complexity when setting strategy. This requires, first of all, an understanding of the characteristics of international markets, and subsequent accounting for their specific features when designing and implementing strategy on an international scale. An introduction to strategic international tools and methods is followed by application via a case study.
