Unit Enrolment Restrictions
Students must be enrolled in 4656 Bachelor Health Science in either the MT4003 Public Health, MT4001 Health Promotion or MT4002 Health Services Management testamur major and have completed 160cp.
About this Unit
This unit involves a 120hr work-integrated placement conducted at a health setting. Online public health students will have the option of completing an online project placement with a health organisation. Online health promotion and recreational therapy students will have placements arranged for them within a reasonable distance from their place of residence.

To be able to undertake placement in any NSW Health facility you must be assessed as compliant with NSW Health student placement policy in the first year of your course, regardless of when you expect to go on your first placement. Access and read the NSW Student Compliance Information Booklet.

1. Find your existing National Police Check or apply for one
2. Gather documentary evidence of your vaccination history
3. Print and compete all relevant NSW Health forms relevant to the campus you are enrolled at or online enrolment requirements
4. Follow booklet instructions on how to have your compliance documents assessed by NSW health staff.

Special Requirements - Essential Equipment
This unit organises actual placement sites as well as ‘desk-top’ online placements. As such the requirements regarding presentation and dress-code will be based on the actual placement site and its requirements.
