About this Unit
This unit is divided into two streams.This unit will introduce students to the epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis and management of orthopaedic conditions affecting the trunk and extremities in the context of clinical pain sciences and osteopathic philosophy. This unit will also enable students to acquire a sound, research-based understanding of the orthopaedic assessment of the spine and extremities with an emphasis on the development of clinical reasoning skills and a current knowledge of applied anatomy and pathophysiology.
