About this Unit
This unit introduces students to the development of the skills and competence in the use of high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) manipulative techniques, and an understanding of the biomechanics upon which this skill is based. This unit introduces and teaches the students in the area of rehabilitation exercise prescription specific to osteopathic manipulative therapy. This unit provides learning experiences for students to develop skills in clinical observation of patient diagnosis, treatment and management.
