About this Unit
The aim of this unit is to develop in the students the ability to understand and perform osteopathic scanning and segmentally define somatic dysfunctions of the thoracic cage, the cervical spine, the head and upper extremity, along with articulatory and muscle energy techniques for these regions. Postural and lifestyle considerations of patient care are explored and hypothetical management plans developed for a variety of common patient presentations.
