About this Unit
This unit is designed to develop the student’s ability to understand and perform osteopathic scanning and segmentally define somatic dysfunctions of the lumbar spine and pelvis, the thoracic spine and the lower extremity, along with the articulatory and muscle energy techniques for these regions. It builds on the knowledge, techniques and skills developed in Introduction to Osteopathy and Osteopathic Practice 1. Students are exposed to a range of osteopathic technique(s) and gain an understanding of their physiological and biomechanical base.
