About this Unit
This unit gives knowledge and understanding of relevant medical concepts, techniques and methods in order that the candidate has sufficient competence to interpret human diseases, conditions and behavior in a forensic setting. An understanding of the organizational structures involved in the practice of forensic medicine both locally and internationally, increase in the candidate's awareness of how forensic medicine relates to the wider context of society and how it contributes towards improving that society. This unit is taught by the University of Florida as part of a collaborative venture between the University of Florida and Western Sydney University.
