About this Unit
This unit introduces the processes for identifying, evaluating and analysing environmental issues of current and future significance to managers of primary industries and environmental managers. The emphasis of the unit is to introduce students to the scientific aspects of environmental monitoring and the complex set of factors that need to be considered to establish an environmentally sustainable society. In doing this the unit demonstrates the importance of understanding how physical, economic, social and technological factors affect the sustainability of agriculture, horticulture, wildlife management and the environment.
