About this Unit
Astrobiology is a new and emerging field of study and is expected to grow exponentially due to new developments in the exploration of space and space communications. This unit deals with the latest developments in the physics, astronomy and biology of the search for life in the universe and space communications. It also explores the techniques used in the search for life in planets of the solar system and stellar objects, the search for extrasolar planets and the implications of a discovery of life elsewhere in the universe.
