About this Unit
This unit provides students with practical experiences in planning for children in K-2 school settings. Students apply theories of learning and understanding of children's development when planning play environments. The practicum focuses on planning, implementing and evaluating developmentally appropriate sequenced learning experiences. Students develop their teaching and group management skills to meet the needs of young children in early childhood settings. Students demonstrate observation, analysis and planning skills for children with special needs.
