In 2012 this unit is replaced by 200756 - Remedies. This unit examines the principles of the Law of Equity, Trusts and Remedies in Australia. It examines the major common law, equitable and statutory remedies available to wronged parties in a variety of circumstances. Emphasis is on the analysis of practical and theoretical advantages and disadvantages of various remedies. Topics include the effectiveness of common law and statutory remedies; the nature and application of the trust; the type of trusts; the right of beneficiaries and the scope of remedies.
