About this Unit
Developing and enhancing confident, autonomous, motivated lifelong learners is this unit's focus. Motivation and learning are pivotal themes used to explore the diverse range of learners, learning styles and effective teaching modes which engage learners actively in developing knowledge and maximising potential. The study of motivation and learning introduces educational psychology and illustrates how it underpins and informs pedagogy. Theories of learning and motivation are critically analysed to develop students' abilities to think creatively, reflectively and critically and in so doing analyse their own teaching practice and transfer these skills to their future educational environments. This unit is linked to professional experience.
