About this Unit
In 2018 this unit is replaced by102278 Professional Design Experience: The Studio. In this unit, students will advance their higher-level skills as emerging visual communication practitioners by working on projects as junior designers, with their tutors as creative directors in the ‘Rabbit Hole’. A range of creative briefs such as brand identity, packaging, digital content and campaign design are offered each semester, and every student is allocated a position based on their existing disciplinary strengths and future career aspirations. Through workshops and discussions that explore a variety of approaches to meeting the creative brief, students gain experience in a professional learning environment. Working directly with our learning partners on live projects with tangible outcomes, students increase their understanding of industry-standard methods and outcomes, providing a bridge between student and professional life.
