About this Unit
In 2015 this unit replaced 102074 Primary Professional Practice 2. Students need to have a variety of experiences that are set in the context of their future profession. Students will be prepared by exploring issues involved in understanding the needs of learners within specific school and classroom contexts, and will design and teach experiences in ways that will enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. The unit also gives students opportunities to reflect on the processes involved, and refine their competencies as beginning teachers. The unit includes a final professional experience that links theory and practice and enables students to construct new knowledge and new ways of practice as part of their transition into the teaching profession.
