About this Unit
This unit explores the special health needs of young people. Students will examine the nature of young people’s lives and the developmental and social factors that significantly influence their health. The nature, extent and social determinants of risk taking will be explored in light of the ‘tasks of adolescence’. The subject will further highlight the skills and actions needed for young people to attain better health.
