About this Unit
Psychological Assessment deals with the administration, scoring, and interpretation of frequently used standardised measures within an assessment context. The scientific and ethical underpinnings of psychological testing and assessment are taught to provide a general context for the employment of standardised psychological tests. Emphasis will be placed on familiarising the student with the processes during a testing session. It should be noted that this unit will not be considered to be a complete preparation for independent psychological testing practice. However, it will provide the student with a foundation in psychological testing and assessment, allowing them to make informed use of some testing data and psychological reports under supervision.
