The key program in Social Psychology and Social Research examines the person in society. It concentrates on the ways in which people think, feel and behave in their individual, group, social and organisational contexts. It examines how people and their actions are informed by these contexts and investigates how people resist and transform them. In addition, it provides opportunities for students to develop a range of practical skills for their work as social scientists. This key program is only available at Penrith campus.


Key Program Structure

The Key Program in Social Psychology and Social Research requires the successful completion of the 40 credit point Bachelor of Arts core plus 120 credit points including the units listed below.

Students must satisfactorily complete the following Level 1 units:

and the following Level 2 unit:

400337 Social Research Methods

Note that 63148 - Group Interaction is the pre-requisite requirement for 400088 - Critical Qualitative Research and 63027 - Statistical Knowledge and Social Power
