Admission

Applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree or higher, in engineering, building, construction management, building surveying, bushfire protection, architecture or science

Or

A Diploma or higher in engineering, building, construction management, building surveying, building design, fire systems design, property management or science with two years full-time equivalent professional and/or voluntary work experience in the relevant fields in the construction industry, fire systems design (fire protection) industry, local government or state fire services

Or

A Certificate 3 or greater in public safety (fire management or operations), plumbing, electrical or other trade qualification AND at least 5 years work experience in the fire protection industry or within a State fire service

Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.

Statement of Service

Applications from Australian and New Zealand citizens and holders of permanent resident visas must be made via the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). Use the links below to apply via UAC or Western Sydney University. Applications made directly to Western Sydney do not have an application fee.

Applicants who have undertaken studies overseas may have to provide proof of proficiency in English.
