Advancements in digital technology, hardware and software have led to the flourishing of end user applications in various forms and mediums. Today, there is an application for everything. However, with the proliferation of such systems it is necessary to address the needs and requirements of the user and provide the appropriate end user experience during interaction with the computing technology. This course introduces the theoretical principles of user experience, as well as the practical elements and tools that make applications and systems easy and enjoyable to use. Ultimately, this qualification will provide candidates with the skills to conceptualise, design, implement and evaluate digital and mobile applications.

Study Mode
Six months full-time or one year part-time.

Admission

Applicants must have

Successfully completed an undergraduate degree, or higher, in any discipline; Or

Have a minimum of five (5) years full-time equivalent professional work experience, of which a minimum of two (2) years must be in roles relating to IT, ICT, Application Development or Software Development, Computing or Computer Science

Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.

Statement of Service

Applications from Australian and New Zealand citizens and holders of permanent resident visas must be made via the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). Use the links below to apply via UAC or Western Sydney University. Applications made directly to Western Sydney do not have an application fee.

Applicants who have undertaken studies overseas may have to provide proof of proficiency in English. Overseas qualifications must be deemed by the Australian Education International - National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (AEI-NOOSR) to be equivalent to Australian qualifications in order to be considered by UAC and Western Sydney University.
