About this Unit
In 2022, this unit replaced by 102831 - Episodic Screen Media. Television Production 1 is a practical and vocational unit that provides students with a range of skills for working in the television production and broadcast sector. Students gain a working knowledge and experience in a range of roles including project planning, scriptwriting and research, followed by filming, sound recording, video editing, and post production, Working in small teams and assisted by professional experts, students gain practical, hands-on experience in the development of a pilot TV program using single and multi-camera equipment, and the TV studio and editing suites for all aspects of the pre-production, production and postproduction processes. Students also work on a proposal for their own TV project to be developed in TV Production 2.
