About this Unit
This unit has been replaced by 200297 - Law of Employment. This unit deals with the regulation of individual employment relationships, including the regulation of relations between employer and employee. Topics covered include common law and statutory sources of employment law, and the role of relevant industrial relations law. Particular emphasis is given to rights and duties under the contract of employment, and to remedies available to the employer and employee for the breach of these duties. The entitlement to workers' compensation is considered.
