Unit Enrolment Restrictions
Students must be enrolled in 4691 Bachelor of Nursing or 4693 Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced) course/s. Students must have passed 80 credit points of the Undergraduate Nursing Degree at Western Sydney University. Permission is required to enrol in this unit.


About this Unit
This unit is designed to enable students studying health courses to gain insight into, and develop an understanding of health care delivery and contemporary issues confronting health care in Australia and in the study country in this study-abroad unit.

Special Requirements - Legislative Pre-requisites

Students will need a valid passport and visa that qualify them to travel to a nominated international country of study. All students will be required to sign a Code of Conduct agreement before departure. First Aid Certificate Students will need to have completed the NSW Health Special Requirements for clinical practicum attendance and be verified as fully compliant in the NSW Student Placement System (ClinConnect). At present Special Requirements include; 1. A National Police Certificate or a Criminal record clearance card/letter 2. A completed vaccination card with serology results attached 3. Three forms completed (take to every placement) a. Code of Conduct, b. Form 2: TB Assessment Form c. Form 3: Student Undertaking/Declaration form 4. International students need to have an additional form: A statutory declaration signed by a Justice of the Peace. Student ID must be presented at compliance checks and clinical practicums.
