About this Unit
The broad aim of this introductory unit is to provide exercise and health science students with learning experiences that enable the acquisition of basic knowledge and skills in the enquiry process. This unit focuses on developing skills in the enquiry process by dealing with relevant professional exercise and health issues. Students will be introduced to the concepts of self directed learning, lifelong learning, action learning, critical thinking, evidence based practice, scholarly discourse, scholarship, referencing, introductory computer skills, economics of the health care and exercise/sports industry and personal development as professionals.
