About this Unit
From 2016 this unit will be replaced by 301075 Design Studio 2: Form and Production. This unit equips students with the skills to use creative design and engineering approaches to solve challenging problems. Students will be introduced to design and logical thinking, experience from quick mock-ups and designs to 3D rapid prototyping, multimodal recording of ideas through digital and non-digital means. They will also reflect upon the design process through the CDIO framework (Conceiving, Designing, Implementing and Operating) and CAD (Computing Aided Design).
