About this Unit
In 2020 this unit replaced by 102761 - Electronic Music Production. This unit aims to develop digital literacy in the area of music production. It provides an introduction to music programming and the design and use of new performance interfaces for digital instruments. Students will acquire an understanding of fundamental principles of digital and electronic music systems in the context of practical projects with computer-music hardware and software. Students propose and complete a major performance/presentation-based creative project. Engagement in this unit will enhance student’s analytical and practical problem-solving skills alongside knowledge of contemporary and future-orient music technology.
