About this UnitPsychoanalytic criticism introduces students to key developments in psychoanalytic theory after Freud including the work of Lacan, Kristeva, Klein, Benjamin, Mitchell and Zizek. The unit applies these theories to the analysis and critique of cultural formations (institutions etc), the media (film and television) and everyday practices (such as shopping, sport etc).
