This sub-major offers students the opportunity to study urban development, the social and economic life of cities, their regulation and governance, their social composition environmental impacts and the dynamics of urban conflict. It provides students with a variety of theoretical models and research from geography, sociology, planning, politics and resource management to interpret the diverse aspects of urban development and urban regulation.
