The study of society and culture is fundamental for the social sciences. The sociology sub-major assists students to develop a high level of critical skills coupled with a rounded understanding of society and culture. It provides students with conceptual and analytical tools, which will enable them to respond in an informed and confident manner to contemporary and future social events.
