The Graduate Certificate in Allergic Diseases is designed for local and international medical practitioners seeking advanced theoretical and technical knowledge about immunological and clinical aspects of allergic diseases. The yearlong, online program will provide students with an in depth understanding of the scientific basis for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with common allergic diseases. Course materials will focus on the latest theories and evidence based information that informs current clinical allergy practice. Students must attend two compulsory written exams as part of the assessment for this unit.

Admission

Applicants must be qualified and registered medical practitioners (doctors). Local and international applicants will be eligible to enrol in this course.

Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.

Statement of Service

Applications from Australian and New Zealand citizens and holders of permanent resident visas must be made via the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). Use the links below to apply via UAC or Western Sydney University. Applications made directly to Western Sydney do not have an application fee.

Student visa holders are not eligible to study this degree. It is available for international students studying offshore (not in Australia), who meet all other admission requirements.

Overseas qualifications must be deemed by the Australian Education International - National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (AEI-NOOSR) to be equivalent to Australian qualifications in order to be considered by UAC and Western Sydney University.

Special Requirements Prerequisites
Students must supply a certified copy of their medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent qualification) and current medical registration, and proof of proficiency in English (if medical qualification was obtained overseas) at the time of application.
