The Western Sydney University Online Graduate Certificate in Science is a flexible course designed for students to pursue advanced training in science, while simultaneously developing specific areas of interest. This qualification is flexible and relevant for a workforce that thrives on science and technology and wishes to study at postgraduate level. The units are all taught fully on line and include a wide range of choice to cater for particular career needs. Successful completion of the graduate certificate will enable students to graduate or to pursue their studies with a Graduate Diploma in Professional Science or Graduate Diploma in Science (Sustainability). Further, students may be able to progress to the Master of Science course.

Admission

Applicants for admission must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in Natural or Physical Sciences

Or

An undergraduate degree in any discipline and two years full time equivalent work experience in a science related field. Applicants seeking admission on this basis must support their application with a Statement of Service outlining all relevant work experience. Please see the following link:

UAC

Applications from Australian and New Zealand citizens and holders of permanent resident visas must be made via the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).

Applicants who have undertaken studies overseas may have to provide proof of proficiency in English. Applicants who are applying through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) will find details of minimum English proficiency requirements and acceptable proof on the UAC website. Local applicants applying directly to Western Sydney University should also use the information provided on the UAC website.

Overseas qualifications must be deemed by the Australian Education International - National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (AEI-NOOSR) to be equivalent to Australian qualifications in order to be considered by UAC and Western Sydney University.
