The Western Sydney University Online Graduate Diploma in Science (Professional Science) is an innovative degree designed to allow students to pursue advanced training in science, while simultaneously developing business skills highly valued by employers. This qualification enables students to explore scientific topics at postgraduate level and also have an interest in how science relates to the world of business. This course provides a backbone of skills important to a professional scientist; be they engaged in research, science business, industries or government organisations. The units are all delivered fully on line and include a range of communication modalities. Successful completion of the graduate diploma will enable students to graduate or to pursue their studies with a Master of Science course.

Admission

Applicants for admission must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in Natural or Physical Sciences

Or

An undergraduate degree in any discipline and two years full time equivalent work experience in a science related field. Applicants seeking admission on this basis must support their application with a Statement of Service outlining all relevant work experience. Please see the following link:

Applicants who have undertaken studies overseas may have to provide proof of proficiency in English. Applicants who are applying through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) will find details of minimum English proficiency requirements and acceptable proof on the UAC website. Overseas qualifications must be deemed by the Australian Education International - National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (AEI-NOOSR) to be equivalent to Australian qualifications in order to be considered by UAC and Western Sydney University.
