The Graduate Certificate in Building Surveying is a one year part-time program which aims to provide students with the knowledge and basic skills to develop, assess and evaluate building solutions for residential buildings. The program enables students to understand principles of planning and development control, sustainability and other fundamental issues relating to building surveying and building surveying practice. The material covered includes building regulations and associated Australian Standards relating to the built environment for low-rise buildings. Satisfactory completion of this program establishes a pathway to advanced qualification at the Graduate Diploma and Masters levels.

Study Mode
One year part-time

Admission

Applicants must have successfully completed a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or an undergraduate degree or higher, in any discipline

AND

two years full-time equivalent professional work experience in engineering, building, building surveying, construction management, housing, planning, bushfire protection or architecture

OR

a qualification at Certificate 3 or above in any building or construction trade

AND

at least 5 years relevant work experience in the construction or building industry.
