About this Unit
Clinical Legal Placement is an experiential learning program in which students, under the Clinical Director’s supervision, gain practical lawyering experience for 12 days a semester at the Parramatta Community Justice Clinic (PCJC) or an alternative equivalent site while critically reflecting on the role of law and of lawyers in advancing social justice. Places are limited and enrolment is based on proximity to graduation. This unit provides you with an invaluable opportunity to use and reflect on your study of law in an interactive, legal service environment. Under the supervision of a legal practitioner you will work on advice, casework, policy or project work. The specific placement activities/ opportunities will align with clinic projects each semester and therefore cannot be advised in advance.

Special Requirements - Legislative Pre-requisites

Students will need a criminal record check and consent declaration if working with minors during their placement.
