About this Unit
This unit examines the role and influence of voluntary action, the state and civil society in Australian history from 1788 to the present. Unit content concerns the evolution and development of voluntary action, a basic tenet of democracy, in Australia, and the changing relationship between governments and the voluntary or third sector.
