About this Unit
This unit constitutes an introduction to theoretical and practical work in Performance and the interrogation of the nexus between them. It constitutes an introduction to theoretical concepts and embodied skills in the discrete areas of Acting, Movement and Voice, as well as identification of common elements and their embodiment in performance. Development of the sense of self in body alignment, breathing, creative imagination and relaxed energy channelled efficiently are common to all performance. Also developed are the skills needed to work solo and in small and large groups.
